General information and deadlines

  • A minimum of 10 players by team is required and a minimum of 4 girls is required

     

  • Team fee = 450 CHF.-
  • Player fee = 100 CHF.-

    For organisational reasons we have changed our player fee / team fee combination charges. Our aim is to keep more or less the same total price as last year. The team fee has been raised from 100 CHF to 450 CHF and the player fee has been reduced from 125 CHF to 100 CHF.

  • Saturday night dinner @ fields

  • Saturday party @ fields

  • Sunday costumed party (live band + dj's... Theme is coming soon!!!)

  • 3 night accommodation in camping or shelter (places in shelter are limited and a car is needed, shelters are at a 10 minutes drive from the fields)

    The main accommodation will be at the camp ground (next to the fields). Bring your own tent.You can also choose to sleep in the shelters (10 minutes by car). We highly suggest that Players who choose this option, need to have a car at disposal, no shuttle organised. (max. 120 places in the shelters)

  • Teams have to register before the 25 of February.

  • The registered teams list and the waiting list will be available on the website the 1st of March. 

  • The elected teams will then have until the 10th of March to confirm their participation by paying their team fee + two player fees

  • All the playerfees will have to be paid before the 5th of April. After this date teams who hasn’t paid will see their spot be given to a team of the waiting list.

  • All payment must be done in Swiss francs (No cheques please).

  • Make sure that the transaction fee is at your own charge.

  • A player can be replaced by an other one without losing any money after communications of the two names.

  • Team fee are not refunded

  • 50% of the playerfees are refunded until the 1st of May, and no refunding after this date.

  • Player not coming because of injury will be refunded. (please present a medical attestation)

  •    The rules of play at Talampaya 2010 will be the WFDF official rules of ultimate.
  •    Games are up to 15
  •    The time limit is of 50 minutes per game, with two minutes half time when the first team reaches 9 points.
  •    Final has no time limit and a five minutes half time when the first team reaches 9 points.
  •    Each team has one time-out per game. They last 2 minutes and cannot be taken in the 5 last minutes
  •    If the time is over during a point, the point is played up to its end.
  •    When the time is over, if a team is leading by 2 points, then the game is over.
  •    If both teams are tied or if the point difference is of 1, 2 points will be added to the highest score, the first team to reach this score has won.
  •    The team who lost scores the next game on the same field.
  •   The team who won brings back the score sheet to the organisation.

APPENDIX : TIE BREAK FOR ROUNDS 1 AND 2
  • Rule 1.  A given tie-breaker rule applies equally to all the teams that are tied.
  • Rule 1a.  If, after the application of a given rule, all of the teams are still tied, go to the next rule.
  • Rule 1b.  If not all teams, but one or more subgroups of the teams are tied, separate these teams into groups and go back to rule 2 with each of the groups individually.
  • Rule 2.  Point differentials, counting games against all common opponents.
  • Rule 3. Points scored, counting games against all common opponents.
  • Rule 4.  Won-loss records, counting only games between the teams that are tied. When only two teams are involved, this rule is commonly called "head-to-head."
  • Rule 5.  Point differentials, counting only games between the teams that are tied.
  • Rule 6.  Points scored, counting only games among the teams that are tied.

  • For those arriving by plane :

- You can get a free bus ticket in the lugagge aera (before passing the customs!) there is a machine provinding free tickets (yeah Geneva is such a welcoming city)

- Take the train (bus ticket is ok) to the main trainstation (next stop)

- form there take the tram 14 (the stop is 2 minutes walking form the station) in direction of Bachet-de-Pesay and get down at the stop "marché"

- After take the bus 11 or 21 in direction of Bout-du-monde and stop at the terminus which is Bout-du-monde

- After you cross the bridge and you're at 5 minutes walking from Vessy Sport Center
