Getting there
If you come by public transportation:
- From the airport, you do have to get a free bus/ urban-train ticket at the place you pick your bagages. then take the train to Geneva’s main station “Cornavin”.
- From Geneva’s main station “Cornavin”, take the bus 8 (Direction: Veyrier-Douane), see: cornavin map. Stop at Louis-Aubert’s stop, then take bus 21 (Direction: Cressy) and stop at “Bout du Monde”. Once at Bout-du-Monde, cross the bridge (left hand when you’re looking at the running track), and walk along the parking until you find us. It’s about 3 minutes walk. See: vessy map.
Parking
At the fields. You should park in one of the parking lots that are on the left-hand of the road right before you get to the entrance of the Sport Centre.
Sleeping at the camping
Please do not camp outside of the official camping area! Ask us!
As you might know, Switzerland is an Alpine country, and our camping is located next to a tiny river coming straight from a glacier. Nights could be REALLY cold and wet. Few-degrees-above-0-cold. We higly recommand to take a warm sleeping bag.
As the parties will take place 200 m from the camping, if you plan to sleep early think about noise protection.
Furthermore, take care of your values. We will hire a security guard, but still… Geneva c’etait mieux avant…
Garbage and garbage collection
Talampaya is an eco tournament. We won’t provide cutlery, bring your own stuff.
Every year we have to clean the fields of lots of rubbish that players “forgot” during the day. Banana peels, bottles, plates, papers… please, help us do our job by taking better care of the fields and the centre’s facilities.
And please, recycle!
Parties and food
We provide a buffet on friday evening, breakfasts and the saturday night meal.
The sunday night dinner is up to you: you can ask the buvette for a fondue or raclette (you have to order on the saturday), or get anything else in town.
The sunday night party theme is “Back to the roots”. Wide range of possibility, from the pie plate to the rosebowl exhibition, and many more… let your imagination go…
